Child and Family Services appoints Cohen, SVP

Child and Family Services of NH recently appointed Ron Cohen to the position of Senior Vice President / Chief Operating Officer.   In his role, Cohen will carry out the mission of CFS to advance the well-being of children and families by providing leadership and strategic expertise to the direct service program staff and the boards of directors and trustees as well as the human service community.

Cohen comes to Child and Family Services with a multi-faceted career that spans over 20 years in the fields of social services and high technology.  Most recently, he held directorial positions with Workplace Solutions EAP of Boston and Health Resources EAP of Natick, prior to which he worked as a clinical social worker with Metrowest Mental Health Association in Framingham, MA, and with Wayside Community Programs, a residential program for teens, in Marlboro, MA.  

In his first career, Cohen worked in the arena of sales and marketing and specifically as a marketing director for major high tech firms including Digital Equipment Corporation. 

Cohen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northeastern University, where he majored in physics and minored in psychology, and a Master of Social Work degree from Boston University.   He is certified as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
