Concord, NH…Child and Family Services of NH (CFS) recently purchased property on 103 North State Street in Concord, previously the NEA building, and moved into the new location at the end of April.   The move took place to accommodate the agency’s growth in programming and its expansion of services, and to better serve its clientele.   

CFS houses several programs in four different Concord area locations:  The CFS Group Home on North Main Street serves adjudicated youth ages 13-19; The Transitional Living Home on Perley Street provides independent living support services to homeless youth and those transitioning out of foster care;  Camp Spaulding, a summer camp for disadvantaged youth, in Penacook, NH; and 

the Concord Regional Office on 103 No. State Street, which houses family, individual and marriage counseling services; parent education; family strengthening, support and preservation services; youth development programs; and permanency (foster and adoption) services; and now the Therapeutic Day Treatment Program (relocated from Iron Works Road), which provides after-school structure and treatment services for court-ordered youth ages 13 – 18.  The new facility also houses the new Family Intervention Program, a collaborative with NH employment offices that works to minimize the risk of poverty for TANF recipients by helping them to comply with state welfare regulations and become self-sufficient.   

The new CFS regional office location is on the local bus route and is within walking distance of downtown and to the CFS Group Home.  It also features more free parking spaces, separate entrances and program pods for client privacy and comfort, enhanced handicap accessibility that includes an entrance ramp and elevator, and environmentally appropriate meeting rooms to better accommodate group therapy sessions, supervised parent-child visits, family workshops, life-skills trainings, volunteer activities and board meetings.
