Services provided

Approximately 40 out of every 100 children in Belknap County have been exposed to violence or trauma of some kind.  Many of these children will never be identified as victims.  They may become withdrawn, start failing school, feel physical pain, develop medical or behavioral problems, develop addictions, attempt suicide, have problems later in life with relationships and may even carry out the violent behavior to which they’ve become exposed.

TIP partners work to ensure that no child gets overlooked or underserved by providing easy access, timely assessments, quality treatment and integrated community care

Genesis Behavioral Health

Clinicians provide trauma assessment and evidence-based treatment to children and youth who’ve been impacted by trauma.  An outreach worker coordinates community efforts to reach out to all child victims of trauma.

New Beginnings

Advocates work with children exposed to trauma using resiliency and strength-based focus.  Through one to one support, New Beginnings creates a nonjudgmental environment for open discussion and healing.
