Overview
Permanency Solutions is a high intensity, multi-faceted program that is specially designed to serve at-risk youth. The program tailors a variety of therapeutic, social and community-based services to the specific needs of a child and his/her family and endeavors to create a safe, stable, positive home environment for each child.
Eligibility: Permanency Solutions Serves NH court-ordered children and their families who are referred through the Division of Children, Youth and Families or the Department of Juvenile Justice Services.

The program’s goal is to —
- Ensure the safety of children
- Achieve permanence within birth, adoptive, kinship or foster families
- Keep children connected to their families, communities, schools and social networks
Permanency Solutions can —
- Reunify a child with his or her family
- Place the child in a caring foster home
- Provide older youth with the support, education and skills they’ll need to transition to independence
- Support families in their own homes
Service components —
- CFS staff will develop and implement a treatment plan that may include any of the following:
- Individual/family counseling
- Respite care
- Crisis intervention/stabilization
- Substance abuse assessments & treatment
- Parenting education and in-home support
- Foster home support
- Short-term placement at CFS group home
- Transitional (independent living) services for older adolescents
- Job readiness assistance for parents and older adolescents
- Monitoring (ensures that a child adheres to court orders re: curfew, school attendance, counseling sessions, etc.)
