TEEN RESOURCE CENTER

A safe place and vital resource for Manchester area youth

 

 

 

The Teen Resource Center is located at 99 Hanover Street in Manchester.  It is a judgment free, safe zone where youth can access many resources, confidentially, and free of charge.  Services, information and support are offered in the following areas:

  • Clothing/laundry
  • Counseling
  • Drugs/alcohol use
  • Education
  • Employment
  • Food
  • Food stamp applications
  • Medicaid applications 
  • GED
  • HIV/AIDS
  • Death of a friend
  • Identification and birth certificates
  • Loneliness
  • Pregnancy
  • Problems at home
  • Relationship issues
  • Routine medical care
  • Sexual abuse/assault
  • Shelter
  • STDs/STIs
  • Suicide/depression

 

The Teen Resource Center respects each youth’s individuality and values.  It is committed to the safety, education and positive development of local youth as they struggle with the daily challenges of teenage life.  The center’s programs help young people to transition to independence and helps provide the tools each young person will need to shape his/her own future. 

 

The Teen Resource Center is designed to work with a wide variety of youth, and continues to progress with youth input.  A Youth Advisory Board works closely with staff at the Teen Resource Center to identify issues, design alternatives and solutions and meet the needs of Manchester youth.
